Wintergreen Farm has Sold Out & is
CLOSED for the 2017 Season
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL WINTERGREEN FARM CUSTOMERS!!!
We had beautiful weather and greatly surpassed our previous years’ opening weekend sales of trees, wreaths, gift shop items and the number of customers to visit the farm in three days. We had more trees to sell this year and will sell out in seven days!!! We are sure our returning customers could tell the difference between this year’s opening weekend and that of previous years. In these three days we sold over three fourths of the trees we had to sell, both in the field and in pre-cuts. Our parking area was overflowing and we think the added tie down lanes, new parking for cars & pickup trucks and the non-tie down process worked very well. We know some of you may have had to wait a little longer to get your tree due to the incredible number of customers here and those of you who were non-tie downs and who may have walked to the field and did not get a red ribbon for your tree, so your tree could be transported to the new non-tie down area. We do appreciate your understanding and your patience as our workers worked hard and as quickly as possible to get you checked out, shake and bale your tree.
For our new customers who may not know, we tagged several hundred additional field trees than the limit we can sell per year in order to give you plenty to choose from. It takes approximately six years for the trees to grow to six feet and then longer to get to be over 10 foot tall. That is why we have to leave trees of different sizes untagged and are not available to be cut. If we tag all the trees, then we would not have plenty of all the different varieties and sizes of trees for future years for you to buy.
We are sorry to those of you who could not get out to the farm in 2017 to get your tree. We hope you will come back next year and continue your tradition with Wintergreen Farm.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all of our awesome customers!! We really appreciate all of our loyal returning and new customers. We will continue to try to improve the farm, either by remodeling, adding to the farm or revising a process to make our farm an enjoyable place for your family. We hope you all have a good, healthy and safe 2018. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in 2018!
